Music by Dennis Skelton

Dennis Skelton, D.M.A., is a church musician playing trumpet for liturgies and services in various parishes, churches, synagogues, and monasteries in and around Louisville, Kentucky. He is also a contemplative instrumentalist performing on recorder for prayer groups, retreats, and religious gatherings. His music reflects both inspiration and improvisation, drawing on an eclectic mix of styles and sources. He has earned Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Church Music degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, and has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the Eastman School of Music, in Rochester, New York. He has also studied at United Theological Seminary, University of Illinois, and the Orff Schulwerk Institute. He is currently working on a collection of Hymn Tunes and Chants for Instrumentalists.
